We believe that fishing should be fun and relaxing, so no matter your age or ability there is something here for you.
Situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders
We take great pride in our surroundings, situated in the beautiful kailzie estate just a 40 Minute drive from Edinburgh. We are surrounded by magnificent rolling hills and woodlands with the mighty River Tweed just a stone’s throw away. We offer Bait fishing, Fly fishing on our ponds as well as 1.75 miles of the River Tweed. Our fishing hut has a good supply of fishing tackle, snacks, hot and cold beverages. We have a comfortable seating area through the back where anglers can share there fishing stories or reflect on their days fishing.
Not so keen on fishing? well not a problem as there is a well maintained 19 hole putting green that is sure to test your skills. On the opposite side of the car park there is a fantastic cafe/restaurant and beautiful gardens you can visit also.
The Fly pond
Our two acre fly pond is stocked regularly with top quality Rainbow, Blue, Tiger and Brown Trout ranging from 2lb up to 15lb plus. The pond has 18 pegs to fish from with seating at each one. We try to keep a natural look around our pond but at the same time ensuring you can enjoy a days fishing with ease.
There is also one disabled jetty where wheelchair users can fish from.
The Bait pond
Our wee half acre bait pond offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals or families to try out fishing for the first time. This pond is stocked with Rainbow, Blue and Golden trout ranging from 1lb up to 3lb.
There is nothing more exciting than catching a fish for the first time! A memory you will never forget.
The River Tweed
We have 1.75 miles of the famous River Tweed, a river world famous and seen as the home of Atlantic Salmon Fishing. Here we let out day permits through the year where you can catch wild Brown Trout, Grayling, Sea Trout and Salmon. No matter the time of year there is always a chance to catch any of these species.
